@mod stevie: (Part 5/13) Hormones (genes) do play a role in expression of secondary sex characteristics, but your environment also plays a part in manipulating your hormones; take stress for an example. Your outside environment may cause you stress which produces/raises stress hormones (cortisol). This is what I mean by gender being a sociogenetic construct. Also how you dress plays a role in how gender is presented which may be another conversation altogether.
